The participant's daughter called the MiWiSH study line in response to our class reminder calls. Daughter reported that her mom had been hospitalized, went to rehab for one day, then was transferred back to hospital for a low sodium level. During second hospitalization, participant was diagnosed with pneumonia, treated then released.
The participant initially went to ER for fall, was hospitalized, then transferred to rehab. Was at rehab only one day, transferred back to the ER and admitted to hospital for low sodium level, found to have pneumonia. Second hospitalization lasted days. Participant is now at home, receiving OT and PT, and ready to return to class. Letter sent to primary MD requesting medical clearance to allow P to return to class.
Participant went to ER and was hospitalized for a fall with injury, large contusion across her side and leg. After a 5 day stay, was transferred to rehab. One day later, transferred back to the hospital via the ER for hyponatremia. Once there, diagnosed with pneumonia. Second hospitalization lasted for 7 days, then discharged to home with PT and OT.
